A BATHING APE held the BAPE HEADS SHOW in New York a few days ago to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the brand. A Bathing Ape was founded by Nigo in November 1993. So far, its iconic "ape head" has become a representative icon in the trend circle.
The event was held at the Terminal 5 club in Manhattan. A BATHING APE was also the first attempt to combine men's and women's fashion shows and live music performances. In the end, BAPE and the four branches (AAPE, BAPE BLACK, BAPY, and APEE) jointly released the 2023 autumn and winter series.
BAPE's new series has three major sources of inspiration, namely the Hip-Hop trend of the West Coast of the United States in the 1990s, the American preppy style, and the abstract art works of Jackson Pollock.
AAPE's new series is inspired by skateboarding and Hip-Hop culture in the 1990s; BAPE BLACK focuses on the retro outdoor trend from Europe; BAPY's new series revolves around "The Office Essentials; and APEE continues to bring Y2K hot girl style design.
At the same time, the brand also introduced a themed limited series. The design of the series is mainly decorated with "Ape Head", "Shark Man" and "BAPE HEADS SHOW 2023". The series includes T-shirts, baseball caps, handbags, towels, sticker sets, souvenir badges, and more. At present, they have landed in major BAPE STORE stores and official online platforms around the world.
