Hillary Super will succeed Rihanna as Savage X Fenty CEO.
American pop queen Rihanna (Rihanna, full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty) announced that she will step down as CEO of her personal underwear brand Savage X Fenty but will still serve as executive chairman.
She is handing over her duties to Hillary Super, former chief executive of Anthropologie Group. Super has also held leadership positions at Guess, American Eagle, Gap, and Old Navy. She said she was excited to join Savage X Fenty as CEO and board member." The brand is a major force in the lingerie and apparel industry, and its unwavering commitment to inclusivity and fearlessness has inspired many."
A PR expert described the move as a strategic move: "While some may see it as a step backwards, she has chosen a very qualified successor, Hillary Super, who is good enough to elevate the brand to the level she aspires to. It’s also worth noting that (pregnant) Rihanna will soon be a mother of two, so this move is also a way of balancing work and family, allowing her to spend more time with her family."
Currently, Rihanna has an estimated personal net worth of more than $1.4 billion and has served as the CEO since she founded the brand in 2018.
