Milan Men's Wear Week in June has 62 events.
The 2024 Spring/Summer Milan Men's Fashion Week will be held from June 16th to 20th.
According to the current official schedule, there are 22 offline fashion shows, 5 online fashion shows, 31 static exhibitions, and 4 appointment-only static exhibitions.
This season's Milan Men's Wear Week's opening show is from the Italian luxury brand Valentino, and the finale of the physical show is from the Italian luxury men's wear brand Zegna.
Valentino's return to Milan Men's Wear Week this time will break the pattern of holding men's and women's wear shows simultaneously in the past three years and create a men's exclusive fashion show stage. Chief executive Jacobo Venturini said in April that he saw a "huge opportunity" in the segment, which accounted for 14 percent of the company's overall sales last year. The move is also seen as a return to tradition, as founder Valentino Garavani held his first menswear show in Milan in January 1985.
Valentino is followed by a collection by Maccapani, founded by Margherita Missoni, the granddaughter of the founding couple of Italian luxury brand Missoni. This is the first time that the brand has landed on the official schedule of Milan Men's Wear Week in a static form. The second day after the series is released, it will be sold directly on the brand website.
It is also the first time that Setchu has landed on the official schedule of Milan Men's Wear Week in static form. The brand was founded by Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata, who just won the 2023 LVMH Prize Young Designer Award.
This season's fashion week ushered in the return of several important brands, such as Ralph Lauren Purple Label's return to the static show schedule and Neil Barrett's return to the fashion show schedule.
In addition, Italian luxury brands Gucci, Brunello Cucinelli, Dolce & Gabbana, Kiton, Etro, Prada, Canali, Tod's, and Giorgio Armani, as well as designer brand JW Anderson, will all make an appearance and release their new collections.
The Italian luxury brand Fendi, which is absent from this season's fashion week, will be a special guest of the new Pitti Uomo Florence men's wear show and will hold the brand's 2024 spring and summer men's wear series fashion show at the FENDI Factory near Florence on June 15.
It is worth noting that KB HONG, a high-end series of Chinese business casual menswear brand Rimula Menswear, has been selected into the official schedule of Milan Fashion Week for the fifth time and will hold a static exhibition from 12:00 noon to 3 pm on June 19, Milan time.
Judging from the schedule of this season's men's wear week, the brands that appeared on the Milan men's wear week show for the first time include: Andersson Bell; the brands that were selected for the official schedule of Milan men's wear week in the form of static exhibitions for the first time also include: Maison Laponte, Marcello Pipitone-Bonola, Mcm, Skin of Nature; and brands on the official digital show schedule for the first time include: Carnet-Archive, Gams Note, Maragno, and Uni Form.
